What we collect and why

We use your uploaded photos, names, ages, relationships and story details to make and check your book. We use contact details and your shipping address to support and fulfill your order. Stripe processes card details; we do not store your card number.

Services that help make your book

OpenAI processes photos and story details for illustration, story assistance and content safety checks. Cloudflare provides file storage and abuse protection. Resend delivers order and recovery emails. Stripe processes payments. Prodigi handles custom-book printing and delivery; historical orders may use Lulu. Hosting and database services store the order and its files. Providers receive the information needed for their work and may retain it under their own service and legal policies.

We do not sell your photos or use them in advertising without separate permission. We do not promise that deletion from our working storage immediately deletes every provider copy. OpenAI describes its API data controls here.

Order measurement

Browser Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and Clarity tracking are disabled. Only if you choose optional advertising measurement, confirmed payments may be reported to Meta through a server event, including purchase value and a hashed email address for matching. We also save approved campaign labels with your order. Advertising measurement is off until you allow it and is separate from photo permission. Change your choice using Advertising preferences at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing stops future queued events and clears saved campaign labels for linked orders; an event already sent or in flight cannot be recalled here. The preference cookie and optional permission last up to 180 days; after that, a new choice is required. To change a recovered order on another device, open that order through Order status first. Hashing is not anonymity. Photos and story text are not included in that payment event.

How long files remain

Unpaid drafts and their files become eligible for scheduled cleanup seven days after creation. Paid working files are kept through fulfillment. After shipment, working photos, character references and page images become eligible after seven days and at least 24 hours after a cleanup notice. If shipment or notice delivery cannot be confirmed, cleanup is held for review. Cleanup runs may occur later than eligibility. Final PDFs, approval history and order records are retained for reorders, support and accounting. A retained PDF includes the illustrations and any photo you chose to print, such as a dedication photo. Deleting working uploads does not remove those pages from the retained PDF.

Some unpaid orphaned assets also have a 30-day cleanup safeguard. This is not a 30-day deletion promise for paid books still being made.

Permission and children

Orders are placed by adults. You must be each child's parent or guardian, or have their permission, and have the right to use the uploaded photos. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.

Access, corrections and deletion requests

Email jackma246@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion. We verify the request and explain any records that must remain for fulfillment, accounting or legal obligations. Deleting working photos can prevent us from completing or revising a book.
