Your Photos Are Safe
We understand that you're trusting us with photos of your children. We take that responsibility seriously. Here's exactly what happens with your photos:
- Photos are used only to create your book. That's it. Nothing else.
- We never use your photos for AI training. Your images are never added to any training dataset, model fine-tuning, or research.
- Photos are deleted after your book is created. Once your book has been generated and sent to print, your uploaded photos are queued for deletion.
- All photos are automatically deleted within 30 days of your order, regardless of order status.
- You can request immediate deletion at any time by emailing us.
What We Collect
- Photos you upload — used solely for illustration generation, then deleted.
- Character details (name, age) — used to personalize your story.
- Contact & shipping info — name, email, and shipping address to fulfill your order.
- Payment info — processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and deliver your personalized storybook
- To send order confirmations and shipping updates
- To respond to your questions or support requests
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
We use the following services to operate:
- Stripe — secure payment processing
- Lulu — book printing and shipping
- Cloudflare — secure file storage (R2)
- Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity — anonymous website analytics to improve our service
Analytics
We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website (e.g., which pages are visited, how long people stay). This data is aggregated and anonymous — it is not linked to your photos or personal details.
Children's Privacy
Our service creates books for children, but orders are placed by parents or guardians. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. All account interactions are with the purchasing adult.
Data Retention
- Photos: Deleted within 30 days of order (typically much sooner).
- Order records: Retained for accounting and support purposes.
- Analytics data: Managed by respective third-party providers per their policies.
Your Rights
You can:
- Request a copy of your personal data
- Request deletion of your data (including immediate photo deletion)
- Opt out of analytics tracking using your browser's settings or extensions
