How we use your photos

You trust us with personal photos. We take that responsibility seriously. Here is what happens to them:

• Photos are used only to create your book. That's it. Nothing else.
• We never use your photos to improve our illustration tools. We do not use them for training or research.
• Unpaid orders and their files are deleted after seven days.
• All photos are automatically deleted within 30 days of your order, regardless of order status.
• You can request immediate deletion at any time by emailing us.

What we collect

• Photos you upload are used solely to illustrate your book, then deleted.
• Character details (name, age) are used to personalize your story.
• Contact and shipping info includes the name, email, and shipping address needed to fulfill your order.
• Payment info is processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

How we use your information

• To create and deliver your personalized storybook
• To send order confirmations and shipping updates
• To respond to your questions or support requests

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate:

• Stripe for secure payment processing
• Lulu for book printing and shipping
• Cloudflare for secure file storage (R2)
• Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity for anonymous website analytics that improve our service

Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website (for example, which pages are visited and how long people stay). This data is aggregated and anonymous. It is not linked to your photos or personal details.

Children's privacy

Our books are made for children, but orders are placed by adults. You must be the child's parent or guardian, or have their permission to use the child's photos. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.

Data retention

• Unpaid orders: The order and its files are deleted after seven days.
• Photos: Deleted within 30 days of the order, usually sooner.
• Order records: Retained for accounting and support purposes.
• Analytics data: Managed by respective third-party providers per their policies.

Your rights

You can:

• Request a copy of your personal data
• Request deletion of your data (including immediate photo deletion)
• Opt out of analytics tracking using your browser's settings or extensions
